Later this year, Alex Price will be launching his new collection named Fer Forgé. The idea behind the collection is a means to explore the middle ground between mass production and craftsmanship.
The table collection consists of a console, coffee, side and nested tables. The frames are hammered steel, which are then gilded in copper, gold and bronze. A reference to our appreciation of noble and precious metals. Each table is topped with hand painted glass, which will be chosen in accordance to the interior.
"I wanted to use the hammered steel as a nod to our roots of craftsmanship and the hand made, whilst introducing a more commercial aspect. For me, hammered steel is a perfect blend of the two."
Alex was recently interviewed by renowned design journalist and trend forecaster Bill Indursky for the Design Life Network online magazine about his journey into the design industry so far.
